A Diamond painting is a colored work of art rendered onto a pre-lined grid with coded color symbols to show the Diamond Painter where to place diamond drills designated by the designer of the canvas.   The drills are faceted on one side and flat on the back. Each of the tiny, rhinestone-like drills is carefully placed on the canvas with either tweezers or a wax-tipped drill pen, both of which are supplied with the Diamond Painting kit. The pre-glued canvas holds the drills in place with a pre-laid clear adhesive. The Diamond Painters can complete portions at a time, while the unfinished remainder of the painting can be left covered with the supplied plastic cover sheet.  This keeps the bare adhesive from collecting dust or drying out, allowing the Diamond Painters to only work on the canvas when they want.  When the Diamond painting is complete, it can be mounted and framed, or simply rolled up and stored until the owner feels like displaying it.
